Researchers at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C, have found a new marker which may help in early diagnosis and treatment monitoring of Alzheimer’s disease.
According to the study published in the October issue of Radiology, researchers used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), that make it may play a significant role in early diagnosis, when fMRI is combined with clinical, genetic and other imaging markers.
Following the Alzheimer’s Association data, more than five million Americans currently have Alzheimer’s disease.
