According to the results of two new studies, the new anti-arthritis drug tocilizumab, now being tested, appears to be effective in relieving the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in both adults and children. However, an expert rheumatologist at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine reported that more tests are necessary because doctors need to know all the potential benefits and potential risks
The new findings are published in the March 22 issue of The Lancet.
