New research suggests taller men could be at an increased risk of testicular cancer.
Cancer Research UK stressed that testicular cancer is a relatively rare cancer compared to other forms of the disease. The lifetime risk of developing testicular cancer is one in 210 for men in the UK. So even for men exceeding the average height of British men (5ft 9ins) the risk would remain relatively low.
The study, published in the British Journal of Cancer, claimed that for every extra two inches (or 5 centimetres) in height the risk of testicular cancer could increase by 13 per cent.
