A research group at Newcastle University, England, suggests that ultraviolet light is a great help for better focusing antibody-based drugs and triggering the body’s own defenses to eliminate tumors.
The technique could fight a whole range of cancers, as long as doctors are able to find a way to shine a light on a tumor. The group reported great expectations that UV light may one day offer a “double whammy” to kill cancer cells.
