The effect of resveratrol on lowering blood glucose in diabetic rats has been reported by several investigators in the past. Resveratrol is a naturally occurring chemical found in grapes that has been reported to have cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and glucose-lowering properties.
This is a big reason for diabetic people to indulge in that glass of red wine, this chemical commonly found in it has the ability to lower blood sugar levels.
The research will be presented at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) 17th Annual Meeting & Clinical Congress on May 16th, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando.
