This conclusion is published in an article in the The British Medical Journal.
According to the article authors, Occupational Therapy is the use of “purposeful activity designed to achieve outcomes which promote health, prevent injury or disability and which develop, improve or restore the highest possible level of independence.”
Researchers found that patients who have had a stroke can have major improvements in their lives if they receive occupational therapy - their chances of deteriorating are also reduced.
