A mixed research team from Harvard Medical School, Cornell Medical School and the National Institutes of Health, have found two genes in mammalian cells acting like real gatekeepers for cellular longevity. When certain kinds of condition, such as caloric restriction, stress longevity cells these genes rev up and start protecting cells from diseases of aging.
We’ve reason to believe now that these two genes may be potential drug targets for diseases associated with aging
Reporting their conclusions in the September 21 issue of the journal Cell, researchers consider the two genes as an effective drug targets for diseases linked with aging
