A new study conducted at Sweden’s Umea University concluded that obese men might be less likely to develop prostrate cancer, but if they do, they are less likely to survive this disease.
This condition was described by team leader as a ‘provocative’ one, because obese men are more likely to develop an aggressive form of the disease able to spread to other parts of the body
As an explanation of this provocative situation could be the fact that the level of male sex steroid - testosterone - is low in obese men.
