Obesity Has Significant Impact on Health

Dr Colin Waine, chairman of the National Obesity Forum and visiting professor at Sunderland University, says our bulging waistlines are having a massive impact on health.
The top professor concluded that obesity really has reached epidemic proportions in this country and is a big problem in Sunderland. He added: “If you look at the condition associated with obesity, there are at least 45 medical complications, and some of these are the biggest killers in modern society – type two diabetes, cardio-vascular disease and certain cancers.”
