According to a new research a regular physical activity can significantly reduce health risks among aging men. The new research suggest that moderate to vigorous physical activity may lower the risk of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) by as much as 25 pct relative to a sedentary lifestyle.
Physical activity influences prostate growth pathways through alterations in hormone levels. It may exert beneficial effects through improved cardiovascular health.
Thus, exercise that promotes weight loss, enhances vascular flow, normalizes serum lipid and lipoprotein concentrations, and prevents heart disease and might mitigate the lower urinary tract manifestations of systemic cardiovascular disease.
An increased physical activity may also lower the risk of erectile dysfunction.
