Cancer tends to affect older people - but can strike at any time

Not counting certain skin cancers, the rate of cancer rate is increasing by about 1% a year. According to many conclusions one in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our life. Some cancer, such as prostate or breast, are becoming more common, while lung cancer cases fall away due to the drop of in number of smoking people.

However, while the overall number of new cancer cases is growing, the good news is that effective treatment rates for many of the most common cancers are improving rapidly.
