A new study at Harvard University suggests that coffee may help men avoid prostate cancer, a disease that kills 1 man in 36.
Researchers found that men who drank 1 to 3 cups of coffee a day had a 30% lower risk of prostate cancer. Those who drank 6 or more cups of coffee per day had a risk factor as much as 60% lower. The researchers found no difference between those who drank caffeinated coffee or decaffeinated coffee.
Coffee has been shown to help regulate insulin and reduce inflammation. Other studies have shown coffee lessening the risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, gallstone disease and even liver cancer.
