Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health found men who smoke when they are diagnosed with prostate cancer are more likely to die of the disease and more likely to see the cancer come back.
Men who smoke at the time of diagnosis for prostate cancer are more likely to die of the disease than those who have never smoked or quit years before.
But those who quit smoking at least 10 years prior to diagnosis had mortality and recurrence rates comparable to those for men who had never smoked
