A research team at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) have concluded that nutrients in red wine might be linked with reducement of the risk of prostate cancer development.
The team evaluated the behavior of male mice that were fed a plant compound found in red wine called resveratrol. This compound has shown anti-oxidant and anti-cancer properties.
Other sources of resveratrol in the diet include grapes, raspberries, peanuts and blueberries.
