A recent research has revealed that combination of vitamin D and calcium may offer protection against type 2 diabetes.
This research at Tufts University, suggests a leading source of vitamin D and calcium in the diet. So drinking more milk, can help lessen the risk of type 2 diabetes by nearly 15 percent.
The Tufts team suggests that calcium and vitamin D may have a positive influence for the body’s ability to utilize and generate insulin, the hormone the body makes to process sugar that is impaired in those with pre-diabetes and diabetes.
