Nerve damage, infections and circulation problems can cause big foot problems for people with diabetes. Questions: How does one get diabetes? by ohio-man June 25, 2007
Answer: One of our body natural function is to take food and
process it to get energy. While digesting food, our body turn it in sugar,
in fact in glucose. During digestion process, the pancreas releases insulin.
Insulin keeps us healthy by controlling the amount of sugar in our blood.
When the pancreas fails to produce the necessary amount of insulin or body
cells do not respond to insulin action the condition is called diabetes.
